Joint Reception hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Fukushima Prefecture
March 4, 2015
1. On March 12, a Joint Reception will be held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and Fukushima Prefecture at Iikura Guest House.
2. This reception is a project co-hosted by MOFA and Fukushima Prefecture to promote a variety of charms of local municipalities. By utilizing the Iikura Guest House as a venue, MOFA supports local governments for regional revitalization and vitalizing local economy.
3. To quell damaging misperception and misinformation by presenting Fukushima’s cuisine, Sake and traditional industrial arts, the "charm" of Fukushima will be widely promoted towards diplomatic corps and chambers of commerce stationed in Tokyo and tourist industry. "Hula Girl", the PR Goodwill Ambassador for the Seventh Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting (PALM7), will also perform at the reception.
4. Prior to the start of the reception, a seminar entitled “Message to the World from Revitalizing Fukushima” will be held by Fukushima with cooperation of MOFA.
