17th Japan-Central America Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation to be held in Guatemala City

1. The 17th Japan-Central America Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation will be held on February 6, local time (February 7, JST), in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
2. This vice-ministerial meeting has been held since 1995, alternately in Japan and in one of Central American countries (Belize, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama).
3. This year, Mr. Yasushi Takase, Director-General, Latin American and Caribbean Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and vice-ministers and the representatives of the Central American countries will participate in the Forum, and discuss the relationship between Japan and Central America as well as the international agenda.
