Study Tour to Chiba Prefecture by the Diplomatic Corps in Japan

1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will organize a Study Tour with Chiba Prefecture for the diplomatic corps in Japan from February 6 to 7.

2. These regional study tours are held every year by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with local governments in order to showcase regional attractions such as culture and industries for diplomats in Japan.

3. During this Study Tour, the diplomatic corps in Japan are scheduled to visit the prefecture’s industrial-, tourism- and cultural-related facilities in order to deepen their understanding of Chiba Prefecture.

4. Expected participants:

18 diplomats from 15 countries

Bahrain, Lesotho, Palau, Dominican Republic, Namibia, Georgia, Papua New Guinea, Kenya,
Zambia, Tanzania, South Africa, Germany, Angola, Mozambique and Timor-Leste

February6: Seimei No Mori Resort (Nagara Town, Chosei District), Hoki Museum (Chiba City), welcome reception hosted by Chiba Prefecture at Okura Akademia Park Hotel (Kisarazu City)
7: Kazusa Akademia Hall (Kisarazu City), Moriya Shuzo Sake Brewing Industry (Sammu City), Kawatsura Strawberry Farm (Sammu City)
