Visit to Japan of Dr. Reinhold Lopatka, Chairman of the parliamentary group of the Austrian People's Party

1. Dr. Reinhold Lopatka, Chairman of the parliamentary group of the Austrian People's Party, will visit Japan upon invitation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from February 5 to 10.
2. During his stay, Chairman Lopatka is scheduled to exchange views on bilateral relations and international affairs with Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Takao Makino, Chairman Mitsuhide Iwaki and other members of the Japan-Austria Parliamentary Friendship Association of the House of Councillors. He is also scheduled to participate in the Iwaki Sunshine Marathon.
3. This visit to Japan by Chairman Lopatka is expected to advance the relationship between Japan and Austria.
