Visit to Japan by Mr. Urmas Paet, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia

1. H.E. Mr. Urmas Paet, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, will make a working visit to Japan upon invitation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from January 29 to February 1.
2. During his stay in Japan, Foreign Minister Paet is scheduled to meet with Minister for Foreign Affairs Fumio Kishida. Among the topics scheduled to be discussed at this Japan-Estonia Foreign Ministers’ Meeting are bilateral relations, including cooperation in the IT sector with Estonia, which is aiming to become an IT nation, and regional affairs.
3. This visit to Japan by Foreign Minister Paet is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations between Japan and Estonia.
