Telephone Conference between Foreign Minister Mr. Fumio Kishida and U.S. Ambassador to Japan Ms. Caroline Kennedy

1. On December 26th, from 6:30 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, had a telephone conference with Ms. Caroline Kennedy, U.S. Ambassador to Japan.
2. Minister Kishida explained the purpose of Prime Minister Abe’s visit to Yasukuni Shrine. Ambassador Kennedy replied that she will convey Minister Kishida’s explanation to the United States.
