Visit to Japan by Mr. Enda Kenny, T.D., Taoiseach, (Prime Minister of Ireland)
1. Mr. Enda Kenny, T.D., Taoiseach, (Prime Minister of Ireland) will make a working visit to Japan from December 1 to 5. This visit is realized upon the invitation adressed to Prime Minister Kenny by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during Prime Minister Abe’s first visit to Ireland in June as first incumbent Japanese Prime Minister.
2. During his stay in Japan, Prime Minister Kenny will have an audience with His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince. Prime Minister Abe is going to hold a summit meeting with Prime Minister Kenny as well as to host a dinner.
3. It is expected that Prime Minister Kenny’s visit to Japan will strengthen the relationship of trust between leaders of the two countries further, and it will also deepen the cooperative relationship between Japan and Ireland, especially in the fields of economic, scientific and technological as well as cultural exchanges.
