Entry into Force of the Protocol amending Tax Convention with the Kingdom of Belgium

1. On November 27, mutual notification procedures necessary for the entry into force of the Protocol amending the Convention between Japan and the Kingdom of Belgium for the Avoidance of Double Taxation with respect to Taxes on Income which was signed on January 26, 2010 were completed.
2. Therefore, the Protocol will enter into force on December 27 this year, and will be applicable, in the case of Japan, for taxes levied on or after January 1, 2014.
