The Second Meeting for the U.S.-Japan Bilateral Commission on Civil Nuclear Cooperation
1. The Second Meeting of the Bilateral Commission on Civil Nuclear Cooperation between Japan and the United States was held on November 4, 2013 at the U.S. Department of Energy, Washington D.C.
2. The meeting was attended by, on the Japanese side, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Nuclear Regulation Authority and Ministry of Environment, and on the U.S. side, by representatives of the Department of Energy, the Department of State, the Department of Defense, the Department of Commerce, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Environmental Protection Agency.
3. Based on the meeting, both the Japanese and U.S. sides jointly announced the attached factsheet (PDF)
