1. I am deeply saddened by the earthquake in Awaran district of Balochistan Province in Pakistan on Tuesday, September 24th, which caused many casualties. On behalf of the Government and people of Japan, I extend my heartfelt condolences to those affected by the earthquake.
2. Upon the request from the government of Pakistan, the Government of Japan stands ready to offer necessary assistance to the afflicted people as quickly as possible.
