Visit to Japan by H.E. Mr. Csaba Kőrösi,
President of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly
- H.E. Mr. Csaba Kőrösi, President of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, will visit Japan from February 15 to 19 upon invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- During his visit, Mr. Csaba Kőrösi will pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Kishida Fumio and hold a meeting with Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa.
- It is expected that this visit will promote the various international contribution initiatives that Japan is pursuing at the United Nations and strengthen the cooperative relationship between Japan and the United Nations.
The President H.E. Mr. Csaba Kőrösi was born in Hungary and served as Permanent Representative of Hungary to the United Nations, Vice President of the 66th UN General Assembly, Vice-Chair of Bureau of the Third UN Conference on Human Settlements (UN-HABITAT 3), and Director for Environmental Sustainability of the Office of the President of the Republic of Hungary. In June 2022, he was elected as the President of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly. His term as President of the UN General Assembly runs from September 2022 until September 2023.
