Video Message by H.E. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan,
at the STS Forum Latin America and the Caribbean High-Level Conference
On December 8 (on December 7, local time), the STS Forum Latin America and the Caribbean High-Level Conference was held in Mexico City in a hybrid format under the theme of Science and Technology Diplomacy and H.E. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan has issued a video message (English(PDF)

In the message, Minister Hayashi gave an overview of the cooperation in the field of science and technology between Japan and Latin America and the Caribbean region, from the viewpoint of the three dimensions of science and technology diplomacy. Also, Minister Hayashi expressed his hope for further enhancing the cooperation between Japan and the region by making the most of the STS Forum which plays a role as the "network of networks", with a view to making the networks among industry, government and academia in each country become more closely connected to the regional and global multi-layered networks.
