Video Message by State Minister for Foreign Affairs SUZUKI
at the 7th Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa

The 7th Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa was held in the Republic of Senegal on December 6-7, 2021. Ms. SUZUKI Takako, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, delivered a video message at the opening ceremony on December 6. The overview of the forum is as follows.

- The Forum was held under the theme of “The Challenges of Stability and Emergence facing Africa in a post-COVID-19 world”. At its opening ceremony, State Minister SUZUKI delivered a video message. Also, President Macky Sall of the Republic of Senegal, President Cyril Ramaphosa of the Republic of South Africa and President Mohamed Bazoum of the Republic of Niger made statements.
- State Minister SUZUKI presented Japan's continuous support in favor of Africa's efforts for peace and stability through the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), and stated that Japan will continue to support Africa's own initiative for development in order for Africa to build back better from the COVID-19.
