The Eleventh Japan-Cambodia Human Rights Dialogue

The 11th Japan-Kingdom of Cambodia Human Rights Dialogue was held online on September 3.
- The dialogue was led respectively by Mr. OTSURU Tetsuya, Ambassador in charge of policy planning, Deputy Director-General of Foreign Policy Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and H.E. Mr. Tuy Ry, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia.
- During this dialogue, both countries exchanged views on efforts and measures in human rights issues such as freedom of political activities, expression, assembly and association, and the independence of the judiciary, and Japan side raised the issues related to an environment for free and fair elections and civic space in Cambodia. Both countries also had discussion on the cooperation in the field of human rights in the international arena.
