Japan-Israel Foreign Ministers' Telephone Talk
On August 31st, commencing at 4:00 PM for 20 minutes, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, held a telephone talk with H.E. Mr. Yair LAPID, Alternate Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel. The overview is as follows:
- The two Ministers exchanged views on the latest developments in the Middle East region in light of Minister Motegi’s recent visit to the region. Minister Motegi expressed his deep concern over the current situation in Afghanistan and underscored the importance of cooperation within the international community to address this issue.
- Minister Lapid shared Israeli views on the situation in the region, including Afghanistan, Iran and the Middle East Peace, and the two ministers agreed to continue to work closely for the stability in the Middle East.
