  1. The Government of Japan strongly condemns the suicide attack that occurred in Sadr City inside Baghdad, the Republic of Iraq on July 19. The Government of Japan expresses its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families for the loss of their loved ones and prays for the swift recovery of those who were injured.
  2. The Government of Japan expresses its strong solidarity with the Government and the people of Iraq and will continue to make utmost efforts for peace and stability in the country.
