Presidential election in Niger(Statement by Press Secretary YOSHIDA Tomoyuki)

- The Government of Japan welcomes the peaceful presidential election in the Republic of Niger and congratulates Mr. Mohamed Bazoum on his election as the President.
- The Government of Japan welcomes the consolidation of democracy in Niger, hoping that Niger will overcome security challenges such as terrorism and violent extremism, and continue to develop and prosper under the leadership of Mr. Bazoum. Japan also hopes for the further deepening of bilateral relations between Japan and Niger.
