Emergency Grant Aid in response to the food crisis in Yemen

On March 9, the Government of Japan decided to extend an Emergency Grant Aid of 10 million US dollars, in response to the food crisis in Yemen.
1 The humanitarian situation in Yemen is deteriorating due to prolonged conflict, and many people are in a state of food shortages and malnutrition. This Emergency Grant Aid is to help improving situation in the area of Food and Nutrition in Yemen, through the World Food Program (WFP) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The expected outcome of the assistance is as follows;

This Emergency Grant Aid is to help improving situation in the area of Food and Nutrition in Yemen, through the World Food Program (WFP) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The expected outcome of the assistance is as follows;
- Provision of food assistance to approximately 552,000 people.
- Provision of nutrient supplements and medical care to approximately 13,000 malnourished children.
