Emergency Grant Aid to Myanmar in Response to the Flood Disaster

1 On August 14, the Government of Japan decided to extend Emergency Grant Aid of 2.6 million US dollars (approximately 325 million Japanese yen) to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in response to the floods disaster.
2 In this aid, emergency humanitarian assistance in such areas as food, water and sanitation, shelter,and Non Food Items(NFIs) will be extended in cooperation with the World Food Programme (WFP) , the Uited Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
