  1. On December 20, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs declassifies 17 files of diplomatic records at the Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The files include records of diplomatic events in 1992:
    • The Visit of the U.S. President George H.W. Bush and First Lady Mrs. Bush to Japan
    • The Visits of Prime Minister Miyazawa and Foreign Minister Watanabe to the United States
    • The Visit of Prime Minister Miyazawa to the United States
    • The Visit of Foreign Minister Watanabe to China
    • The Visit of General Secretary Jiang Zemin of China to Japan
    • The Visit of Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress to China
