Declassification of Diplomatic Records

  1. On December 22, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs declassifies 18 files of diplomatic records at the Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The files include records of diplomatic events around 1990, such as:
    • The Visits of Prime Minister Kaifu to Europe and to the United States
    • The Combodian Peace Process
    • The Visit of President-elect of the Republic of Peru Fujimori to Japan
    • The Visit of Deputy President of the African National Congress (ANC) Nelson Mandela to Japan
    • The Gulf Crisis
