Seventh Meeting of the Council on Safety Measures for International Cooperation Projects

  1. On December10, the Seventh meeting of the Council on Safety Measures for International Cooperation Projects was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a web-based meeting. Mr. TAKASUGI Masahiro, Deputy Director-General for Safety Measures for International Cooperation, International Cooperation Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. UESHIMA Takumi, Senior Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), members of the private sector, government officials and Japanese NGO personnel were among the participants of the meeting.
  2. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and JICA presented information on safety risks of personnel engaged in international cooperation projects and implementation of projects under the COVID-19 pandemic and the participants discussed about these issues, considering changes of circumstances for implementation of projects caused by the global spread of COVID-19.
