The 30th Japan-Canada Joint Economic Committee

- On December 3, 2020, the 30th Japan-Canada Joint Economic Committee will be held in online format.
- The meeting will be attended by Mr. SUZUKI Hiroshi, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Mr. John Hannaford, Deputy Minister of International Trade, Global Affairs Canada, as respective Co-Chairs, and officials of relevant ministries of the both countries. In addition, Mr. KAWAMURA Yasuhisa, Ambassador of Japan to Canada and Mr. Ian Burney, Ambassador of Canada to Japan, will also attend the meeting.
- The meeting will focus on Japan-Canada cooperation in the current international economic environment and priority areas of cooperation, including energy, infrastructure, science and technology cooperation, tourism and youth exchanges, as well as improving business environment and promoting investment.
