Reception Hosted by Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida on the Occasion of the General Meeting of the Japan Association of City Mayors

On June 4, Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will host a reception for supporting the international exchanges of cities at the Iikura Guest House.

At this reception, mayors of cities as well as diplomatic corps in Japan will exchange views on international exchange activities in regional areas, such as sister and friendship city exchanges, economic exchanges. Local governments will also set up introduction booths inside the venue to showcase their local products. And local governments that are scheduled to hold important international conferences next year will introduce their cities through stage performances.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports various kinds of international activities of local governments, and this reception will be held as a part of such support.
