Establishment of Gender Mainstreaming Division, Foreign Policy Bureau

  1. MOFA will establish Gender Mainstreaming Division under the Foreign Policy Bureau on April 22, 2014, and appoint a female official to become the first director of the division.
  2. The purpose of the establishment of Gender Mainstreaming Division is to reflect broader gender viewpoints in diplomatic policies, by ensuring sharing of information and knowledge across different bureaus and by planning and coordinating relevant policies related to gender mainstreaming.
  3. MOFA will vigourously promote gender mainstreaming measures towards the creation of a society in which women shine.
