Japan-UK Consultation on Disarmament and Non-Proliferation

On September 11, Japan-UK Consultation on Disarmament and Non-Proliferation was held in Tokyo.
- The Japanese side was represented by Dr. NAKAMURA Kimitake, Ambassador, Director-General of Disarmament, Non-Proliferation and Science Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the UK side was represented by Mr. Stephen Lillie, Director for Defence and International Security, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
- At the consultation, the two sides exchanged views on a wide range of important current issues in the areas of disarmament and non-proliferation, including nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation, arms control, regional issues, outer space, and biological and chemical weapons. Both sides concurred to continue consultations between the two countries in these areas.
