Congratulatory Message from Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA Yoko to Latvian Foreign Minister PhD. Arturs Krišjanis Karinš

On 25 September, following the appointment of H.E. PhD. Arturs Krišjanis Karinš, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, Mr. KAMIKAWA Yoko, Minister for Foreign Affairs, sent a congratulatory letter to Foreign Minister Karinš.
- In the letter, Minister Kamikawa congratulated Minister Karinš on his appointment and stated that she was delighted to see the favourable bilateral relations continue to develop in a wide range of areas with Latvia, as an important partner, including the Working Holliday Agreement which entered into force in August. She also stated that she would like to closely collaborate with Minister Karinš toward further strengthening the bilateral relations.
- Minister Kamikawa also mentioned her willingness to cooperate closely with Minister Karinš to contribute to maintaining and strengthening the free and open international order based on the rule of law, including response to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and efforts toward realizing a "free and open Indo-Pacific".
