Emergency Grant Aid in response to the Cyclone in Myanmar and Bangladesh

- On June 6, the Government of Japan decided to extend Emergency Grant Aid of USD 2 million to Myanmar and Bangladesh affected by Cyclone Mocha on May 14.
- The western part of Myanmar and the Cox's Bazar district where displaced persons camps are located and other areas of Bangladesh have been severely affected by Cyclone Mocha and its subsequent flood. This Emergency Grant Aid is to provide assistance in the areas of food, water and sanitation, and shelter through the World Food Programme (WFP), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
