Departure of the Chartered Flight for Japanese Nationals and Others Evacuated from the Republic of Sudan to Djibouti

  1. On April 28, at 06:28 p.m. Japan time (00:28 p.m. local time), Japanese evacuees who resided in Sudan and their families and others, 48 persons in total, departed for Japan from Djibouti on a chartered flight arranged by the Government of Japan.
  2. Those who boarded this chartered flight had evacuated Sudan on the Japan Air Self-Defense Force’s C-2 transport aircraft and with the cooperation of various countries and international organizations, and were staying in Djibouti.
