Dispatch of the Japan Disaster Relief Expert Team in Construction, Seismic Isolation and Earthquake Resistance Technology to Earthquake Damage in the Republic of Türkiye

On 3 March, the Government of Japan decided to dispatch the Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Expert team to the Republic of Türkiye in response to a request from the Government of Türkiye. The team is scheduled to leave for the region on 6.
- The Expert team to be dispatched this time consists of experts in construction, seismic isolation and earthquake resistance technology, etc. The team will conduct on-site research of the affected areas in Türkiye, hold discussions with Turkish government agencies and research institutions, and provide technical advice to the Turkish government for restoration and reconstruction.
- This dispatch of the expert team follows on from the dispatch of the JDR Expert and Medical Team, which has already been carried out.
- Japan intends to provide effective support to Türkiye as much as possible as it seeks to recover and rebuild from the recent earthquake, making use of its experience and knowledge as an earthquake-prone country.
