Dispatch of the Japan Disaster Relief Medical Team in response to the damages caused by the earthquake in the Republic of Türkiye

  1. With regard to the earthquake in the Republic of Türkiye, the Government of Japan will dispatch second dipatch of the Japanese Disaster Relief (JDR) Medical Team to that country on today, February 12.
  2. The advance team departed for Türkiye in the evening of February 10 and has already started coordination with the Turkish Government officials regarding specific assistance.
  3. Japan will continue to further assess the damage on the ground and consider necessary assistance based on the actual needs.
