13th Meeting of the Improvement of Business Environment and Investment Working Group between Japan and Qatar

On January 30, the 13th Meeting of the Improvement of Business Environment and Investment Working Group between Japan and Qatar was held in Tokyo, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
- The meeting was attended by Mr. KUROMIYA Takayoshi, Director of the Second Middle East Division, Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry from the Japanese side, and Mr. Saleh Abdullah Al-Mana, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation and Trade Agreements, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Qatar Investment Authority from the Qatari side. The participants discussed the further activation of people-to-people exchange, as well as promising areas for expanding trade and investment between Japan and Qatar.
- The meeting was held as a preliminary meeting at the working level for the 2nd Japan-Qatar Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue to be held in Tokyo, which will be attended by H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, who is currently visiting Japan as a guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
