Summary of the Sixteenth Round of the Negotiations for Japan-Turkey Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)

- The sixteenth round of the negotiations for Japan-Turkey Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) was held from August 6 to August 9 in Ankara, Turkey.
- From the Japanese side, Mr. Keiji Ide, Representative of the Government of Japan for Free Trade and Economic Agreement Negotiations, and representatives from relevant ministries attended this round of the negotiations. From the Turkish side, Mr. Hüsnü Dilemre, Director General for International Agreements and EU Affairs, Ministry of Trade, and representatives from relevant ministries participated.
- At the meeting, discussions were held in areas including trade in goods, trade in services, investment, rules of origin, and state-owned enterprises.
- The schedule of the next round of the negotiations will be coordinated through diplomatic channels.
