The TICAD 7 Preparatory Senior Officials' Meeting (SOM)

  1. 　The TICAD 7 Preparatory Senior Officials' Meeting will be held at the African Union’s Headquarters in Ethiopia from June 10 to 11, 2019.
  2. 　The meeting will be attended by officials of the Government of Japan led by Ambassador Shigeru Ushio, Director General of African Affairs, together with the representatives of TICAD co-organizers, namely the United Nations, the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the African Union Commission (AUC), as well as the delegations of African countries and the representatives of partner countries, international organizations and civil society organizations.
  3. 　At the meeting, the participants will discuss issues including outcome documents of TICAD 7, which will be held from August 28 to 30 in Yokohama, Japan.
