Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iceland to Visit Japan

1. From November 9 to 13, H.E. Mr. Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iceland, will make a working visit to Japan upon invitation by the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
2. During his stay in Japan, Foreign Minister Sveinsson is scheduled to meet with Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs. Among the topics scheduled to be discussed at this Japan-Iceland Foreign Ministers’ Meeting are bilateral relations, including cooperation on global issues such as whaling, disaster risk reduction and the Arctic, and regional affairs
3. This visit to Japan by Foreign Minister Sveinsson is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations between Japan and Iceland.
