Press Conferences

Foreign Press Secretary KITAMURA Toshihiro: At the outset, I have one announcement on the recruitment of fixed-term mid-career professionals by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).

MOFA conducts recruitment for fixed-term positions every two months, with the aim of hiring private-sector professionals with diverse work experience and backgrounds for a fixed period. From tomorrow, October 1, we will open applications for approximately 30 positions. The place of work varies by position, ranging from MOFA headquarters to our overseas missions, and the duties also vary. We welcome applications from many who wish to contribute to the peace and prosperity of Japan and the world, or who are interested in diplomatic activity.

We plan to hold online briefing sessions to assist those interested in applying. Please refer to the MOFA website for details.
