  1. The second high-level meeting of the "Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC)" was held in Nairobi, Kenya on November 28th to December 1st, 2016. During the meeting, how the effectiveness of development cooperation could contribute to achieving SDGs was discussed through high-level dialogue session, seven plenary sessions, side events, forums, amphitheater sessions, etc
  2. "Nairobi Outcome Document" was endorsed at the meeting. The main point of the document is that GPEDC is set to work toward the implementation of SDGs and to demonstrate its significance. The GPEDC mandate and working arrangements were also attached.
  3. The elements of "G7 Ise Shima Principles for Promoting High Quality Infrastructure Investment" agreed at this year's G7 Ise Shima Summit was mentioned in the document. In the plenary session on triangular cooperation, Mr Mikio Mori, Deputy Director-General for International Cooperation Bureau presented Japan's efforts on effective implementation of triangular cooperation and other participants introduced examples of Japan's triangular cooperation on the ground. Mr Mori also presented examples of Japan's efforts including TICADVI and WAW! 2016 in the plenary session on empowering women and youth.
  4. JICA representative attended as a panelist at a side event on triangular cooperation and introduced a JICA case.
