Fifth Round of High Level Dialogue between Japan and Republic of Korea on Climate Change

The fifth round of High Level Dialogue between Japan and Republic of Korea on Climate Change was held in Tokyo on July 13rd, 2010. The Japanese delegation was headed by Mr. Shinsuke J. SUGIYAMA, Ambassador, Director-General for Global Issues, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Korean delegation was headed by Mr. Shin Yeon-sung Ambassador for Climate Change, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

In the dialogue, the two countries had extensive and open exchange of views regarding the review of international negotiation towards COP16 and various cooperation between Japan and Korea in the area of climate change. The two countries shared the willingness of continuing the close dialogue with appropriate opportunities.
