Design Concept

Using the sun as a motif I incorporated concepts of brightness, tenderness, broadmindedness, and congeniality into my design. These qualities also serve as images of Kyushu and Okinawa. The central blue circle represents the sea, because Kyushu and Okinawa are shaped by marine culture. The white in the middle represents the letter 'O' for Okinawa, the main Summit venue. The surrounding red circles symbolize the enthusiasm of the participating countries.
