The third Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Energy Ministers' Meeting
The third APEC Energy Ministers' Meeting is to be held in Okinawa from October 9th to 10th. The APEC Energy Ministers' Meeting was first held in Sydney, Australia as an opportunity to provide momentum for the implementation of Osaka action program endorsed at the APEC Ministerial Meeting in Osaka in 1995. The second meeting was held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where it was decided that the third meeting would be held in Okinawa. In this third meeting, Ministers in charge of energy affairs in APEC economies will discuss energy policy issues to achieve simultaneously the 3Es, that is, Economic growth, Energy security and Environmental protection.
Taking this opportunity, Okinawa Energy Business Forum will be held on October 6 - 8 by JANCPECC (Japanese National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation Council) for high-ranking business leaders to discuss enemy issues in Asia-Pacific region on the subject of "Harmonization of Energy and Environment".
