Message of condolences from Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio following the damages
caused by the floods in the eastern part of the Commonwealth of Australia

On March 3, regarding the damage resulting from the floods in the eastern part of the Commonwealth of Australia, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, delivered the following message of condolences to the Hon. Scott Morrison, MP, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia.
“It is with deep sadness when I learn about the recent floods caused by heavy rainfall in the eastern part of Australia which have claimed many precious lives and forced many people to evacuate. On behalf of the Government and the people of Japan, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives and their bereaved families. I pray for the early recovery of those who are affected and the prompt reconstruction of the affected areas.”
