Courtesy Call on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Participants of the World Cosplay Summit 2024

- On July 30, Ms. KANEKO Mariko, Deputy Press Secretary for Foreign Affairs received a courtesy call from participants of the “World Cosplay Summit 2024” (August 2nd - August 4th, in Nagoya, Japan), representing Costa Rica, Czech Republic, and Mongolia.
- At the beginning of the meeting, Ms. KANEKO wished the participants best of luck for the “World Cosplay Championship 2024,” in which 36 countries and regions are competing. She also expressed her hope that they would take advantage of their visit to Japan to experience not only the field of pop culture but also the various charms of Japan, and continue to serve as a bridge between their countries and Japan.
- The participants stated that they were very honored to join the Summit and to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and had a pleasant conversation about the charms of Japan with Ms. KANEKO in a friendly atmosphere.
- Other participants in the courtesy call including His Excellency Mr. Alexander SALAS ARAYA, Ambassador of Costa Rica to Japan, expressed their wishes for success of the “World Cosplay Summit 2024” and stated that it is wonderful for young generation to make friends all around the world and deepen mutual understanding on their countries through international cultural exchange.
