Courtesy Call on Chief Cabinet Secretary KIHARA by Representatives of the U.S.-Japan Business Council

On June 25, commencing at 14:10 for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. KIHARA Minoru, Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, received a courtesy call from Representatives of the U.S.-Japan Business Council during their visit to Japan.
- Chief Cabinet Secretary KIHARA welcomed the delegation’s visit to Japan and expressed his view that progress in economic cooperation between Japan and the United States is underpinned by the business communities of both sides, and expressed his gratitude to the U.S.-Japan Business Council for issuing a valuable statement each year to further develop economic relations between Japan and the United States.
- In response, Mr. David Goeckeler, the U.S.-Japan Business Council Chairman and other participants expressed their desire to continue working toward strengthening the Japan-U.S. economic relations. The two sides also exchanged views on measures to enhance Japan-U.S. economic cooperation with a focus on economic security, including grassroots initiatives at the state and regional levels, as well as on ways to further promote and strengthen investment in Japan and the United States.
