On September 26, commencing at 9:00 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Ms. TAKAICHI Sanae, Prime Minister of Japan, held a Japan-U.S. Summit Telephone Talk, with the Honorable Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America.

  1. At the outset, President Trump provided a detailed explanation of the latest U.S.-China Summit meeting. The two leaders exchanged views primarily on issues related to China, covering economic affairs, including economic security, as well as security affairs, and affirmed to work in close coordination between Japan and the United States.
  2. The two leaders reaffirmed the unwavering Japan-U.S. Alliance and concurred that together they will contribute to the peace and stability of the region and the world.
