In the evening of September 23th, Mr. ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister of Japan, during his visit to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly, attended a reception hosted by the Honorable Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America and Mrs. Melania Trump, First Lady of the United States of America. The overview is as follows:

  1. Prime Minister Ishiba had a talk with President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, and Prime Minister Ishiba expressed his gratitude for President Trump's friendship and trust and stated that the importance of the Japan-U.S. Alliance in realizing global peace and prosperity would remain unwavering.
  2. Prime Minister Ishiba and President Trump welcomed the steady and positive progress, which serves national interests of both Japan and the United States.
  3. Prime Minister Ishiba also held conversations with attendees of the reception, including heads of states, governments and international organizations, such as Secretary-General of the United Nations António Manuel de Oliveira Guterres, President of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly Annaleana Baerbock, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Finland Alexander Stubb, President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, President of the Republic of Peru Dina Boluarte, Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese, and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schoof.
