On March 17, regarding the devastating damages caused by tornadoes and storms in the Midwest and South of the United States of America, Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru sent the following message of condolences and sympathies to the Honorable Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America.
“I was deeply shocked by the disasters caused by tornados and storms in the Midwest and South of the United States of America. On behalf of the Government and people of Japan, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the victims, and I sincerely hope for a swift recovery for those injured.
Japan stands in solidarity with the United States during this difficult time.
