Dinner between Prime Minister Kishida, Mrs. Kishida and individuals who have ties with Japan residing in the State of North Carolina

On April 12, commencing at 6:15 p.m. (local time; 7:15 a.m. on April 13 Japan Time) for approximately 60 minutes, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, and Mrs. KISHIDA Yuko, the spouse of the Prime Minister of Japan, who are visiting the State of North Carolina, United States of America, had a dinner with individuals (athletes, cultural figures, among others) who have ties with Japan residing in the State of North Carolina. The overview is as follows.
- At the outset, Prime Minister Kishida expressed that he was pleased to have an opportunity to meet with individuals who are active throughout various fields in the State of North Carolina, and stated that he would like to hear the stories of those who have worked hard in a variety of fields.
- The participants introduced their activities in the State of North Carolina including sports, culture, food and anime. The participants also offered their views on how to further develop Japan-U.S. exchanges based on their experiences.
- The dinner was an opportunity to reconfirm that Japan-U.S. relations is supported by a wide range of people through economy and the society.
