On August 12, regarding the devastating damages caused by the wild fires in Hawaii, U.S., Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio sent the following message of condolences to the Honorable Joseph R. Biden, President of the United States of America.

“I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the people and the Government of the United States for the devastating damages that have been caused by the wild fires in Hawaii. I hope the fires will be brought under control as soon as possible.
I send my prayers to the victims and hope for the earliest possible recovery from this disaster.”
