Following the passing of Mrs. Rosalynn Carter, former First Lady of the United States of America on November 19th (local time), Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio sent the following message to the Honorable Jimmy Carter, former President of the United States of America.

“I was deeply saddened to hear the passing of Mrs. Rosalynn Carter. Her accomplishments in the promotion of women’s rights, offering housing to those in need, and the field of mental health cannot be understated. I extend my deep condolences to you and your family as well as the U.S. government and the American people.”
