Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Tsuji Receives a Courtesy Call from Families of Former-POWs from the United States

On September 2nd, commencing at 11:30 a.m. for approximately 30 minutes, family members of former Prisoners of War (POWs), 8 people in total, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Kiyoto Tsuji, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, during their visit to Japan at the invitation of the Japanese/POW Friendship Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The overview is as follows.
- Parliamentary Vice Minister Tsuji welcomed the delegation and stated that he hopes they will experience and enjoy various aspects of Japan.
- In response, families of former-POWs expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to visit Japan, and after many years, they were able to form friendships with Japanese people.
- The courtesy call took place in a friendly atmosphere.
